| Summary |
In a year 2005, we have studied water, soil and atmospheric air samples on the study territory Phase I and II of Oil and Oil Product Transportation and Handling Terminal of Company CHANNEL ENERGY (POTI) LTD. Sampling and analyses were conducted in accordance with the Monitoring Scheme. According to the results of researches, the atmosphere air pollutant substances are not fixed at the territory of terminal and the air quality is within the requirements. The BTEX concentrations are not fixed in wastewater samples; The concentration of TPH is within acceptable levels in the wastewater; The concentration of ammonia, Nitrates, Phosphates, and BOD are within the acceptable levels; The suspended particle levels as well as COD at all stages of monitoring activities are above the MPVs. The reason for high values can be the fact, that treatment facilities are wised with sea water. The total petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in inner harbor water. In the soil samples, collected at terminal territory t6he pollution with heavy metals and hydrocarbons are not detected. |
