Summary
The overall goal of the research is to protect population and infrastructure of the Black Sea costal zone against the background of global warming, ensure operational safety of port and terminals representing constituent parts of ТRACECA – Transport Corridor,  protected territories, recreation zones etc. The objectives of the research are , as follows:  - assessment  of contemporary environmental condition of Georgian coastal zone; - Evaluation and forecasting of erosive and mudflow processes in the basins of   the Black Sea rivers;  - An analysis of existing methodology for calculation of load discharge; - Evaluation of total volume of  load discharge of  the Black Sea basin rivers; - Development of new advanced methodology for forecasting the load discharge. As a result of the works carried out, recommendations for protection measures of  the Black Sea coastal zone from abrasive processes will be elaborated. The potential stakeholders of the project:
