Summary The goal of the project is an assessment and managing of the natural catastrophic events (floods, inundation etc.) on the base of contemporary programming and processing products for optimization of the investing and insurance policy and encouraging an economical activities in GeorgiaIn meeting the main goal, the following objectives and tasks planned to be solved: the sets of the data will be collected and processed that are required for the customisation of the snowmelting/rainfall-runoff models and 1-D flood routing models (Mike 11, including conceptual rainfall-runoff module NAM),on the basis of the analysis of historical data and physical-geographical conditions of the selected region, a consistent list of scenarios of catastrophic weather and ground conditions that may result in catastrophic high waters, and their probabilities, will be estimated.
