Works on the protection of the coastal zone  of Georgia  still are in a delay miode.Intensity of coastal erosion outstrips the progress of work on protective measures and catastrophical state at critical sections of the coast each year is worse. Interventions to protect the abrasion sites with coastal constructions (mainly walls)  i provoke deficit in supply of clastic material and strengthening wash out of beaches. An analysis of the dynamical processes within the lithological cell, basing on the instrumental measurement, allows to elaborate optimal ways and methods of seashore protection.
